Risager has during the last few years established his name as vocalist, guitarist and composer of international class. Nature has equipped him with an extraordinary powerful and expressive voice, and with his charismatic performance, soft hat on his head, well-played guitar over his shoulder and a top-tuned, tight band behind him, he and his group are definitely making their mark. The headline is still Rhythm’n’Blues, but the band is broadly, and competently offering a varied menu of traditional Chicago blues, soul, funk and jazz along with some spicy New Orleans rhythms.
